Hand-Carved Pine Wand
This branch came from the Mountains east of San Diego. From the peak where the tree that bore this branch grows, you can just barely see the Ocean. This wand’s point is the red resin core of the pine shaved in such a way to show a star pattern and diamond dots down the length of the shaft. The bottom is finished in a sort of donut shape centered on the red resin star core.
The Wand is Knife carved for the initial sharpening and then sanded smooth to soft touch finish. The wand is intentionally left unsealed so that it may absorb any hand oils or other spell components during it’s life in the tradition of Wabi-Sabi.
